It is commonly believed that yoga originated in India circa 2000 BCE. Yoga is the union of mind, body and soul and thus can provide individuals with perfect harmony and balance.
There are 4 main forms of yoga:
- Karma yoga - selflessly working for others (eg: Mother Theresa)
- Bhakti yoga - through devotion (eg: Gandhi)
- Jnana Yoga - Knowledge or wisdom
- Raja Yoga - the Royal Path
Kate is a qualified yoga teacher, currently delivering classes in Reading on a Monday night. She has a special interest in Yoga for Fertility and will be releasing a DVD later in the year.
Kate’s Hatha Yoga classes are a varied mixture of classic poses (asanas), flowing sequences, breathing exercises (pranayama), and relaxation.
There are classes for mixed ability (including absolute beginners and those having practised for many years) and sessions especially tailored to fertility.
All Kate’ classes are known for their friendly, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. They will leave you feeling stretched, toned, calm and serene!
